God is the loving creator of all things in heaven and earth. He exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three work together, but each serves a specific purpose. God the Father (John 1:14, 1 John 4:14) The Father is the originator of all things. Although He is equal to the Son and Spirit, they began in Him and are sent by Him. God the Son (1 John 2:2 AND 4:10) The Son is the mediator or advocate for mankind; He petitions the Father on our behalf. He took our place on the cross to restore our relationship with the Heavenly Father. His payment for our sin and His resurrection allow us to be seen not forwhat we’ve done, but for what He has done for us. God the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:26-27, John 14:16-17 and John 16:8-15)The Spirit’s role in our world is multifaceted. He helps us pray, He comforts us, and He convicts us of our sins to name a few. He lives within us and is constantly available to us.
God created the human race that we might live in constant community with Him. He created us to love Him and to be loved by Him. That relationship was broken when mankind chose to sin. Our sin created a barrier between mankind and God.
We believe that Jesus is ‘the way, the truth and the life” and it is through Him that we have access to the Father. Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God, turns away from their sin and is baptized into Christ will be saved. (John 14:6)
Heaven is not just the abode of God; it is the place where followers of Christ will spend eternity. It is a place without pain or tears or suffering. At Jesus’ resurrection the way was opened for all believers to live forever with Him in paradise. (John 14, Revelation 21:4)
About the Bible
We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God, that God inspired and directed each of the authors and who has preserved the scripture as our guide for life. Psalm 119:105
About the Church
The Church is the community of God’s people joined together to reach this world with the news that Jesus offers forgiveness, love and purpose to all who will follow Him. It is the place where we grow together in our faith and encourage one another as we live out our faith. Why Real Faith, Real Friends, Making a Real Difference?
Real Faith –
We believe that the world needs authentic believers; people who “Love the lord their God with all their heart, with all their soul, all their mind, and all their strength.” (Luke 10:27) Our goal is to move people into a deep, loving relationship with their heavenly father. With Real Faith comes honesty, openness and accountability. We do not hide our struggles, but work together to overcome them and experience new life in Jesus Christ.
Real Friends –
How we interact with one another within the church, as well as how we treat those outside of the church is vital. Jesus said, “Love your neighbor as yourself” (Luke 10:27) and “A new command I give you: Love one another as I have loved you. By this all men will know that you are my disciples” (John 13:24-35). At Community Christian Church, we want to extend open and loving arms to anyone and everyone. The greatest joy is seeing our friends and loved ones enter into a relationship with their heavenly father and finding a family within the church.
Making a Real Difference –
Our mission is not to stay inside the walls of the church building, but to bring the Church to our world. We believe that our good deeds will make a difference in the lives of the people we serve. We want to impact our community, country and world through the power of the local church. We take Jesus’ command to “Go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19) very seriously. At CCC, we want to make disciples who will in turn make disciples of others.
